Michelle Rodeh

Michelle Rodeh B.Sc.(Hons.) DMU (Vasc) is the sonographer in charge at Precision Vascular Ultrasound. She became accredited in 1998. She has been scanning for 27 years working both in Radiology in hospitals and private practice and for the Vascular Surgeons in Melbourne. She is an expert in all aspects of Vascular Ultrasound. She has set up and run two vascular laboratories successfully. Michelle has taught and trained vascular ultrasound to trainee sonographers and experienced sonographers to maintain the standard of vascular ultrasound.

She is a DMU examiner for the Australian Society for Ultrasound for Medicine (ASUM) and has been for about 15 years. This has involved travelling around Australia and New Zealand to examine the trainee sonographers to gain accreditation.

She has been active on the Australian Sonographer’s Association (ASA) Victorian branch for 7 years where she organized Vascular workshops which she ran. This involved giving informative powerpoint presentations and scanning for her fellow sonographers to improve their skills and knowledge.

She has been on the National Conference committees for both ASUM and ASA running the vascular components and contributing by speaking and
running workshops.

Ahren West

Ahren West has come to us from abroad. His training was obtained in the United States of America, and he has come to work with us from the United Kingdom. He has obtained an equivalence of training certificate from ASMIRT and brings an international perspective to the practice.

During the height of the COVID pandemic Ahren was a senior Vascular Scientist within the NHS where he diagnosed patients and clinically instructed trainees. He has provided clinical research information for multiple studies that have been conducted within university hospitals. With a background in Neuroscience and Emergency Medicine Ahren is well versed in a broad scope of the healthcare profession.Society for Ultrasound in Medicine.

Rawad Alissa

Rawad has worked as a radiographer at the Austin hospital since 2013 and commenced his vascular ultrasound training in the Vascular Lab at the Austin Hospital in 2015. He completed his general ultrasound training and qualifications in 2020 with a Bachelor of Medical Sonography and Graduate Diploma of Medical Sonography from Central Queensland University.

He is currently working as a Vascular Scientist/Sonographer at the Austin hospital as well as a General Sonographer with IMED. His areas of interests in the vascular domain include Doppler imaging of arteriovenous fistulas for haemodialysis, renal transplant Doppler assessment as well as visceral duplex imaging. He has taught student’s and trainees principles of vascular ultrasound imaging and vascular duplex scanning.
